Foreign policy analysis as a subfield is the study of the process, actors, effects, causes and outputs of foreign policy decisionmaking in either a comparative or case-specific manner.
The aims of this course are to: • introduce you to the central concepts in foreign policy analysis • develop your comparative skills of analysis of differing foreign policies in practice • promote critical engagement with the foreign policy analysis literature and enable you to display this engagement by developing an ability to present, substantiate and defend complex arguments.
