Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to analyse the Cold War period with evaluating important events and actors.

Course Content

This course will start with a brief information about the nature of the Cold War. The periods will be 1945-1960; 1960-1980 and 1980-1990. Some important events such as U2 crises, Cuba crises, Vietnamese War, Detant and arms race will be discussed. Besides this, social and cultural impacts of Cold War will be examined.
