Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know the main concepts of administration and management. 2) Compare and contrast classical, neo-classical, modern and post-modern theories of management. 3) Discuss the implementations of management theories in schools. 4) Analyse the structure and management of Turkish Education System 5) Learns the aims and basic principles of the Turkish Education System. 6) Learns the legal basis of the Turkish Education System, comprehends the relevant legal texts. 7) Understands the organisational structure, duties and functioning of the Ministry of National Education and learns the duties of the Ministry units. 8) Learns the concepts related to management such as management, organisation, management principals. 9) Discusses how management processes can be used in school organisation. 10) Understands the management structure of the school organisation; learns how student-personnel-organization-education-teaching services in the school are managed. 11) Understands the importance of school-family and environment relations and co-operation. 12) Learns about the rules of behaviour in working life.
