Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to introduce the key concepts of linguistics to students; to teach the basic aspects of phonology, phonetics, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics.

Course Content

An introductory course to the study of language focusing on the properties of natural languages and aiming to familiarize the student with linguistic terminology and the concepts underlying these terms and also to explain the major theories of phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, morphology, and syntax.
