Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to raise the awareness of students about the textbooks used as a course material İn English language teaching in terms of various subjects such as historical development of textbooks, their advantages and disadvantages, their features, evaluation and selection of textbooks.

Course Content

Physical, educational, visual design and language expression features and standards of textbooks; the appropriateness of the contents of the textbooks; Analysis of some current textbooks in terms various aspects such as content, students’ levels, format, attractiveness, contribution to meaningful learning, ease of use in teaching.
