Objectives of the Course

Developing the performance technique with selected works in the related field repertoire.

Course Content

Performing works from the simple to the complex of the works determined from the traditional Turkish Folk Music vocal repertoire, listening to the folk songs or local artist records (cd, cassette, etc.) of the songs to be performed and comprehending the local dialects.

Learning Outcomes
1.To gain knowledge and ability to perform traditional folk songs performed in different regions and provinces.
2.Having knowledge in the context of traditional performance.
3.Contributing to the development of traditional folk music performance in terms of dialect, attitude and interpretation.
4.To be able to use technical details about using her/his voice in execution.
5.Contributing to the protection and preservation of national cultural values.
