Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is; To perform the works composed in Traditional Turkish Art Music considering all the features.

Course Content

Considering the concepts of interval, maqam and method in the works, paying attention to prosody, integrating the meaning of words with melody and performing the work as a whole.

Learning Outcomes
1.General learning of performance techniques in works composed in the field of Traditional Turkish Art Music.
2.To know the traditional Turkish Art Music genres, to be able to perform a voice by considering the characteristics and style of the genres.
3.Emphasizing the importance of the meaning in the traditional Turkish Art Music verbal works by translating the words to today's Turkish.
4.To be able to evaluate theoretical knowledge such as interval, maqam, method etc. acquired in the field of Traditional Turkish Art Music during application
