Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to achieve rhythms awareness and knowledge in students. Comprehension of all characteristic features of 10 and more time procedures by processing local samples. Application of advanced performance techniques of Bendir Asma Davul, Darbuka and Kaşık.

Course Content

Examples are studied in 10 and more beated time signatures from Turkish Folk Music and Dance. Writing Rhythms. How to find right time signatures with right beat numbers. Playing Kaşık is taught. Writing exercises. Studying on improvisation.
