Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical & Practice
Introduction of the course, its importance, methods to follow, rules and presentation of materials to be used. Part 1: Introduction, handling, position awareness and 1st position of the instrument. Introduction of the method. Tuning and order in the oud. Plectrum strike in two-quarter notes.
Week 2 - Theoretical & Practice
Part 2: Studies on Hüseyniaşiran, Acemaşiran, Rast, Dügah and Kürdi frets (1- 18). Çargah, Neva, Hüseyni ve Acem perdeleriyle ilgili etütler (19- 41).
Week 3 - Theoretical & Practice
General review of sections 1 and 2 (1-41). Part 3: Using a four-point note and related studies Gerdaniye and Muhayyer frets and related studies (42-55).
Week 4 - Theoretical & Practice
Speed terms and nuance signs and related studies (56- 58). General review of chapter 3. (42-58).
