To comprehend the logic of art from a theoretical perspective, to bring systematic perspectives to the learning and teaching methods of art education. It is also aimed to discuss the educational theories and methodology of certain branches of art, especially visual-constructive (plastic) arts, and to emphasize the educational and scientific importance of arts.
It aims to approach art education as an important, special discipline within general education, aiming to raise the individual with an investigative, questioning, open to new, dynamic and creative perspective that enables the individual's aesthetic, mental, affective, cognitive and kinetic development; It contains studies that help to understand the logic of art from a theoretical perspective and to bring systematic perspectives to learning and teaching methods. The ways of thinking that play a role in artistic processes, in short, the "language of art", are examined. Starting from the 19th century, the main intellectual and practical approaches that contributed to the development of art education theories and advances in art education are reviewed.
