Objectives of the Course

Getting to know Turkish art from Central Asia to Anatolia

Course Content

Art styles from the Hun Art to the Göktürk, Uyghur, Karakhanid, Ghaznavid, Great Seljuk, Anatolian Seljuk, Principalities and Ottoman periods are examined comparatively, as well as examples of architecture, sculpture and painting from these periods.

1.Explains the stylistic features of Turkish art from various periods.
2.Analyzes examples of Turkish art from different periods in terms of philosophy, iconography and aesthetics.
3.Recognizes Turkish art before and after Islam
4.Recognize the features of Alaca Höyük and Karain Cave.
5.Recognizes Anatolian Civilizations with Çatalhöyük, Göbekli Tepe etc.
