Objectives of the Course

To provide the student with advanced technical and musical mastery based on undergraduate qualifications, to have in-depth knowledge of musical schools and composers of different periods, to develop and diversify his/her interpretation in line with this information.

Course Content

Analyzing advanced techniques for singing, vocalization and interpretation methods of medium-sized works, creating a medium-sized vocalization-interpretation repertoire from international art music and Turkish music. Harmonic and formal analysis and interpretation of works.

Learning Outcomes
1.Gains knowledge about the creation of polyphony.
2.They assimilate the stylistic differences of different musical periods and develop their interpretations in an original way.
3.They increase their competence in displaying their technical and musical knowledge on stage.
4.Gain the ability to critically evaluate the theoretical and practical knowledge about opera singing, to make professional comparisons and inferences.
5.They have the technical and musical interpretation skills to be an opera soloist.

Diaphragm and breathing exercises
Week 2 - Theoretical
Technical exercises (practical exercises involving voice, breath, ligament, agility, which will ensure the most comfortable use of the voice in the vocal range according to the structure of the voice) and the skill achieved through these technical exercises to be applied on the selected repertoire.
