The general purpose of Media Literacy; It consists of accurate monitoring of the media and, when necessary, a critical perspective and feedback. In this framework, evaluations on the reflections of the new media will be discussed.
The influence of the media on both individuals and children is enormous. Especially, the influence of social media is increasing day by day, it almost legitimizes all kinds of violence and negativity that are a part of life, and pacifies the consumer followers by influencing them. Regardless of age, we can divide media consumers into passive consumers and active consumers. Passive consumers are those who only consume content as watching, listening and reading. Active consumers, on the other hand, participate in the communication as a participant by playing games over the phone and internet or taking part in social media. At this stage, necessary discussions will be made on the effect of new media and new learned outcomes.
