Objectives of the Course

Main objective of this course is to gain a critical perspective to the student through basic philosophical concepts and to introduce philosophical thought through basic communication tools such as literary texts, works of art, photography and cinema.

Course Content

Answers will be sought in the context of communication and art to the main questions about basic concepts such as knowledge, reason, ethics, justice, existence, identity that shape the history of philosophy.

1.Getting knowledge about the basic concepts of philosophy.
2.Getting knowledge about the important philosophy schools and philosophers.
3.Discusses and evaluates the main questions of Western philosophy within the framework of communication and art.
4.Gains the ability to establish a relationship between the concepts of philosophy and the media.
5.Gains the ability to research and write about the subject.
