Course Objectives To teach the student the history of political rhetoric and its tools of rhetoric. At the same time, to offer persuasive speaking ways and techniques and to gain knowledge and skills in this regard. The purpose of persuasion is to reach the targeted change in the belief, attitude and behavior of the recipient. Changing attitudes and behaviours in the desired direction is an indicator of a successful persuasion process.
The content of this course is to look at examples from Turkish and World history in order to ensure that students have knowledge about persuasion, based on the psychological and scientific data that underlie persuasion, and at the same time that they have the competencies to apply persuasion and methods in their professional lives.
