This course aims to discuss the aesthetic and structural effects of media technologies on theater arts in the context of digital culture. Students analyze contemporary performance understandings by relating media theories to the transformation of staging forms.
The course examines the relationship between media and theater from a historical perspective; concepts such as intermediality, digitization, audience experience, avatar acting, and interactive scenes are analyzed through examples. Students' critical skills are developed through presentations and performance analyses.
