Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide an overview on the concept of welfare and welfare economics and economic theories. Income distribution inequality and measures and general equilibrium theory and welfare economics, state interventions and effects and welfare state will be informed.

Course Content

General concepts of welfare and welfare economics, economic theories related to welfare economics, general welfare indicators, inequality of income distribution and measures, general equilibrium theory and welfare, contemporary equilibrium theories, the changing perspective of welfare economics, the impact of the state on economic activities, the concept of welfare state, welfare expenditures, women employment, quality of life and income distribution inequality relationship with welfare spending in the economic and social position, welfare state and country examples, the welfare state practices in Turkey, the effectiveness and development of social policies constitute the content of the course.

Learning Outcomes
1.The concept of welfare and general concepts related to welfare economics, theories and applications will be able to learn.
2.It will be possible to obtain information about income insufficiency and its measures, general balance and welfare status, government interventions and improvements, and welfare state.
3.The social Assistances and social Works from the same root , feeding each other " holistic" is the realization that need to be addressed within a state .
4.This came after understanding , grasped fully the background of social Assistances and Works , applications need to make the actor can be seen more clearly and deeply in need of detected cases .
5.The situation of the needy can be perceived in depth.
