Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to give the students the concepts related to economic growth, to be able to answer the basic questions asked to be answered from the past to the present within the framework of development theories and to show the importance of economic growth.

Learning Outcomes
1.To learn the measurement techniques used in growth analysis and to interpret the results obtained.
2.To be able to analyze the growth processes in developed and developing countries in the light of traditional and new growth theories.
3.To learn the determinants of growth and to be able to relate to macroeconomic policies.
4.To be able to evaluate the effects of education, information technology, innovation, R&D activities and technological development on growth.
5.To be able to evaluate the importance of the development of institutions and providing a competitive environment in terms of growth dynamics.
