Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to give the students the concepts related to economic development, to be able to answer the basic questions asked to be answered from the past to the present within the framework of development theories and to show the importance of economic development.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to analyze the phenomenon of development.
2.To be able to evaluate the situation of underdeveloped and developing economies in terms of traditional and new development approaches.
3.To be able to analyze development strategies depending on the changing understanding of development.
4.Being able to develop a development model for Turkey as a developing country.
5.To be able to make comparative analysis in terms of underdeveloped countries, taking into account the level of development that developed countries have reached.
