Objectives of the Course

It is aimed that students comprehend the basic concepts in measurement techniques, knowledge of test theories and interpret a situation according to the results of different test theories.

Course Content

To make superficial comparisons by introducing classical test theory, item response theory and generalizability theory in the field of measurement and evaluation.

Learning Outcomes
1.Understanding the basic problems of measurement.
2.To understand the relationship between the basic problems of measurement and the development of different test theories.
3.Comprehending the solutions offered by the test theories to different measurement problems.
4.To be able to compare the classical test theory, item response theory and generalizability test theory with each other.
5.Being able to decide which test theory would be appropriate to use in accordance with the given different conditions and needs.
6.To understand the basic statistical operations on which different test theories are based.
