This course aims to introduce students to social cognition topics that concerns the various psychological processes that enable individuals to take advantage of being part of a social group.
Social cognition examines how people process, store, and apply information about others and social situations, focusing on perception, interpretation, and judgment. Key topics include the perception of social cues (both nonverbal and verbal communication), the formation and change of attitudes, and the underlying cognitive processes influencing social interactions.
