Objectives of the Course

To teach basic biostatistics knowledge

Course Content

Concepts of science, scientific method, statistics and biostatistics Basic concepts of biostatistics Variable types Data collection methods Data representation methods Descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion) Theoretical distributions (Normal, binomial and Poisson distributions) Midterm exam Sampling theory and methods SPSS usage principles Hypothesis testing (Student's t test, Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon tests) Hypothesis tests (One-way analysis of variance, Kruskal-Wallis, chi-square etc.) Correlation analysi
