Objectives of the Course

To teach basic concepts related to feed information, feeds used in animal nutrition and their classification. To provide information about the forms and levels of nutrients in feeds. To teach the amounts of feeds given according to animal species and age. To teach the names of substances found in feeds that negatively affect nutrition, their harm to animal health and how their negative effects can be eliminated. To make people understand the differences between the digestibility of feeds according to animal species and the importance of this in animal nutrition. To define the concept of feed hygiene based on biotic and abiotic degradation and to adopt its importance in animal nutrition. To inform about technological processes and feed forms applied to increase the consumption and digestibility of feeds, to prevent spoilage and to ensure long-term storage. To provide basic information about organoleptic and physical examination and chemical analysis methods used to determine the value of feeds. To make people understand the relationship between healthy animals or economic animal husbandry and feeds, feed hygiene and technology.
