The purpose of this course is to examine the scientific research process (problem identification, data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of results), review key scientific research methods (experimental method, descriptive method, etc.), and provide students with the necessary skills to develop research questions, formulate hypotheses, conceptualize, measure, collect data, analyze data, evaluate/interpret data, and write reports to conduct research on a specific topic. This course will emphasize the concept and theories of ethics, research ethics and publication ethics, and unethical behavior. It will also provide information and awareness about the most common violations of research and publication ethics, methods for preventing them, and the procedures to be followed in the event of a violation.
