Objectives of the Course

Explain all the features of plant viruses to cause disease.

Course Content

Brief history of plant virology, economic importance of virus diseases of plants, how plants get sink, physico-chemical properties of plant viruses, nomenclature classification, origins and evolotion, replication , transmission and movement, effect on plant metabolism, detection and diagnosis methods and plant virus disease control are explained.
