The aim of this course is to be equipped with how to design a survey-based research, which is carried out intensively in the Department of Agricultural Economics, from the beginning to the end. Research approaches, theory-specific definitions, basic characteristics of science, hypothesis, observation, selection of research topic and problem, revealing the purpose and importance and creating a research proposal, validity and reliability in measurement, sampling, scale types, data types and sources, questionnaire form. design, method and question types will gain the skills and practice of conducting a conscious research by addressing the subjects. In addition, he will have gained the skills of learning and applying the SPSS package program, which is a statistical program.

Course Content

Within the scope of this course, the necessary techniques for defining, developing, designing and analyzing students' research questions will be presented. Students learn the concepts that form the basis of different research designs, and practical examples are discussed during the course of developing the data collection method, creating a sampling frame, determining the data analysis methods, interpreting the data, and writing the research report. Definition of research problem, determination of research model, Explanatory research design: Secondary research and Qualitative research, Descriptive research methods: Cross-section, iterative research and panels, Primary data collection methods in descriptive research: Questionnaire, Interview, Observation, Formation of theoretical framework, development of hypotheses, Measuring and Scaling Variables, Creating Questionnaires, Data Analysis: Commonly used parametric tests , Data Analysis: , Stata applications
