Objectives of the Course

Gives information about the starting reasons of saline and alkaline soils which is invasive both in Turkey and in the world. Furthermore this topic includes the distribution areas of these kinds of problematic soils and gives more information about the solution of soil remediation.

Course Content

Saline and alkaline soils, formation, distribution, characteristics, sources of soluble salts and effects of salinization on plant production , the classification of saline and alkaline soils, the distribution areas of Turkeys in saline and alkaline soils, remediation of saline soils, remediation of alkaline soils , remediation of saline and alkaline soils , chemical breeding materials, gypsum applications.
