Objectives of the Course

To create the basis for students not only positivist research, but also adopt an interpretive approach; to ensure the main qualitative research techniques the implementation and interpretation.

Course Content

Nature of science, scientific knowledge, scientific method, basic assumptions: ontology, epistemology, methodology and methods; paradigms, qualitative data gathering techniques, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, validity, reliability, generalisability and ethics in qualitative research, nature of qualitative data and the role of researcher in qualitative research, developing research proposal, qualitative
