Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to define the characteristics of the special surgical patient, to learn the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative characteristics of the special surgical patient, and to learn the evidence-based practices in the special surgical patient care

Course Content

Definition and classification of special patient groups, surgical care of obese patients, surgical care of pregnant women, surgical care of geriatric patients, surgical care of oncologic patients, surgical care of oncologic patients, surgical care of physically disabled patients, surgical care of patients with mental retardation, surgical care of patients with psychiatric problems
