Objectives of the Course

The main aim of this course is to give the vision of analysing Turkish Economy in historical and structural perspectives.

Course Content

The economic structure from the last periods of Ottoman Empire to Republic of Turkey. Establishing time period of Republic of Turkey. Etatism period. II. World War period. Social transformation period. Planned development period. The time period between 1960 – 1980. Structural economic transformation period in 1980s. The time periods of 1990s. The role of Turkish economy in the world economy.
