Objectives of the Course

At the end of the course, it is provided that the students to learn the basic concepts of pedestrian zones, planning and design principles of pedestrian zones, applications and solutions in the field of landscape architecture with the examples from the world and Turkey

Course Content

The contents of the course are; definitions and concepts related to pedestrian areas, importance of the subject, classifications on the subject, the historical development of pedestrian zones, planning and design principles, examination of the samples in our country and other countries, urban furniture elements used in pedestrian areas, pedestrian movements depending on the spatial organization
