Objectives of the Course

Changes in the structure of production and in the composition of labor force, new technologies, strategies of flexible manufacturing and employment, globalization of production and capital, and many other factors have caused a crisis in union structures and movements. This process has also resulted in the emergence of new social movements mobilized around such motives as citizenship, migrations, environment, gender, social rights. This course aims to investigate and discuss the possibilities of cooperation and alliance between unions and the new social movements.
