Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to gain a perspective of history which will enable them to deal with the political, social, economic and intellectual fronts of the Ottoman military history with an interdisciplinary approach.

1.Be able to judge the basic issues and terminology of Ottoman military history.
2.Analyzes the main events and phenomena of Ottoman military history with an interdisciplinary approach with political, social, economic and intellectual fronts.
3.3.The student has an in-depth knowledge of different approaches in military history literature.
4.Uses the primary sources of Ottoman military history
5.Introduction between the changes in the military structure and the socio-economic and socio-political structure.
