Objectives of the Course

This lesson aims to study inceasing of Ottoman sea power, the structure of naval organization amd it's menagement approach, navy forces and than history of Ottoman maritime trade.

Course Content

İt is studied that the Turkish Navigation in Beyliks Period; The famous corsairs of Mediternean sea; the organization of Ottoman Navy; Ottoman sovereignity in the Mediternean; Ships, ports, famous sea wars, famous Ottoman seamen, reforms about navigation in Ottoman Emp., and Ottoman maritime trade.
