After the death of Alexander the Great, the empire he founded in his conquered lands has been the scene of a ruling struggle among commanders known as Diadochi. In the meantime, other Hellenistic kingdoms such as the Kingdom of Pergamon, the Kingdom of Bithynia, the Kingdom of Pontus, the Kingdom of Cappadocia, the Kingdom of Armenia and the Kingdom of Kommagene are also established in Anatolia. In this course, these kingdoms, established in Anatolia in the Hellenistic age, will be examined individually in the light of ancient and modern sources.
