Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to instruct the Turkish concept of sovereignity in the view of Turkish myths.

Course Content

This course deals with the basic characteristics of the Turkish land, life and beliefs and the effects of them to the social life, family structure and concept of sovereignty. The ancient Turkish religion, the structure of family and clan, the relation of center – periphery, the concept of sovereignty and the elements of state are also discussed.
