Objectives of the Course

This course aims to help students develop their theoretical knowledge and analytical thinking on the relationship between religion, politics and society from a comparative perspective.

Course Content

The topics include classical sociological theories on religion and secularization, rise of religious movements in modern societies, relationship between the state and religion in different countries and religious tradition.
