Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is for participants to develop entrepreneurial competencies and gain the ability to turn business ideas into opportunities by adopting innovative thinking systems. By understanding the dynamics of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, students are expected to strengthen their strategic thinking skills to create, grow and sustain their own ventures. In addition, the cornerstones of modern entrepreneurship such as innovation processes, creativity techniques, business model development and digital transformation will be covered in this course.

Course Content

This course aims to introduce students to the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation with their historical, theoretical and practical dimensions. The course covers entrepreneurship types, processes and digital entrepreneurship approaches, while creative thinking techniques and current entrepreneurship ecosystems are also analyzed. Students gain the ability to structure and present innovative business ideas by learning KOSGEB supports and business plan preparation processes in practice. In addition, the types, processes and integration of innovation with the business model are discussed and students are expected to evaluate entrepreneurial activities from a strategic and critical perspective. This course provides students with a holistic understanding of entrepreneurial practice in the context of strategic planning, marketing, leadership and creativity; and competence to develop and present business ideas professionally.

Learning Outcomes
1.Can analyze the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation in historical, theoretical and practical aspects.
2.Demonstrate critical thinking skills in developing business ideas by evaluating the types and processes of entrepreneurship.
3.Can develop strategies for contemporary entrepreneurship practices by comparing digital entrepreneurship and franchising models.
4.Can carry out KOSGEB supports and business plan preparation processes in practice and create a plan suitable for the business idea.
5.Develop innovative venture ideas by linking innovation types and processes with business models.
