Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to examine the psychological and physiological stress processes that occur in exercise and sports environments with a multidimensional approach; to analyze the effects of stress on athlete performance at hormonal, neurophysiological and behavioral levels. It also aims to teach the applicability of stress coping methods in sports.

Course Content

The importance of personality traits in sports, the effectiveness of motivation in motivating for success, the effectiveness of arousal, stress and anxiety levels, the determinants of competition, cooperation and group dynamics, how goal setting affects success, mentoring.
