To comprehend the biological, molecular and genetic characteristics of cancer stem cells as translational correlations with clinical parameters.
To give information about cancer stem cell concept in cancer biology and its reflection to clinic. For this purpose, the definition and history of stem cells, self-renewal and differentiation, characteristics of cancer stem cells, the function of stem cells in cancer formation, cancer stem cell-related signaling pathways, the importance of stem cells in hematopoietic cancers, the importance of stem cells in solid tumors, tissue-specific stem cell markers, The role of cancer stem cells in resistance to treatment, Cancer Stem Cell, Cancer Stem cell isolation and identification techniques as treatment targets will be explained. Review articles will be discussed.
