Objectives of the Course

The objective is to facilitate the analysis of parametric and non-parametric statistics and the understanding of their outcomes within the context of scientific research methodologies.

Course Content

Descriptive statistics, introduction to SPSS, correlation, comparison of means, regression analysis, cluster analysis, scale reliability, factor analysis, multivariate ANOVA (MANOVA), and non-parametric tests will be covered.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
Basic concepts (quantitative research process, variables, hypothesis/research question, scales) will be provided.
Week 2 - Theoretical
The SPSS menus will be introduced, and exercises related to data entry will be conducted.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Information will be provided on missing value analysis, normal distribution analysis, tables and graphs, and descriptive statistics.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Information will be provided on simple and partial correlation.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Comparison of means I
Week 6 - Theoretical
Comparison of means II
Week 7 - Theoretical
Comparison of means III
Week 8 - Theoretical
Information will be provided on simple and multiple regression analysis
Week 9 - Theoretical
Information about cluster analysis will be provided.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Information will be provided regarding scale reliability analyses.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Information about factor analysis will be provided.
Week 12 - Theoretical
Information about multivariate ANOVA (MANOVA) will be provided.
Week 13 - Theoretical
Information about non-parametric tests will be provided.
Week 14 - Theoretical
The application and reporting of all analyses will be conducted on a sample dataset.
