Objectives of the Course

To provide information about the phytohormones that regulate the growth and development events in plants, to ensure the perception and understanding of the mechanisms of action and controlling roles in plant growth and development. To give information about the importance of phytohormones in plant biotechnology studies, phytohormone-gene relationship and the effects of phytohormones under stress conditions.

Course Content

To teach the concept of phytohormone in plants, classification of phytohormones, general properties, functions, modes of action and biosynthesis pathways. To give information about the use of phytohormones in plant biotechnology and agriculture.
