Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce the medicinal and aromatic plants to the students. It is aimed to teach the methods for rapid propagation and conservation of these species with examples, and also to teach the production of some secondary metabolite ingredients using biotechnological methods.

Course Content

To give information about medicinal and aromatic plants, to use different in vitro propagation techniques in the production of these plants. Acclimatization of the produced plants and their transfer to the field. To give information about in vitro secondary metabolite production and biotechnological methods used in this production.
