Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to identify gene function changes that cannot be explained by changes in DNA sequence and to discuss the mechanisms involved in detail.

Definition of epigenetics, gene circuit elements and basics of gene control Chromatin and chromosome architecture, Epigenetic mechanisms, Histone modifications and epigenetic gene regulation, DNA-level epigenetic modifications, Basic functions of non-coding RNAs and RNA epigenetics, Genomic imprinting, Epigenetic analysis methods
