Objectives of the Course

PLC unit cable connections, power connections, computer connections via Ethernet and USB ports and system settings will be taught. The use of physical input and output ports of the PLC unit, relay, and optocoupler connections, operating input units as source and sink and their differences, transistor and relay output concepts and their differences will be explained. It is aimed to teach the use of expansion modules and to implement different PLC applications with the Human Machine Interface unit and to be able to operate physically independent of the computer as well as in the simulation environment.

Course Content

PLC power and data cabling operations, relay, optocoupler and sensor connections, controlling input-output ports, making connections and settings between the Human Machine Interface and PLC, PLC, Human-Machine interface, motor driver, motor speed control, motion module usage applications.
