Objectives of the Course

Students will be able to get to know the Ottoman alphabet and reach a level where they can read and understand the printing texts printed with this alphabet.

Course Content

The introduction of the letters used in Ottoman Turkish, the concatenation of the letters, the spelling of Turkish construction and inflection suffixes, Arabic elements in Ottoman Turkish, texts from contemporary Turkish literature.
