Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to gain the necessary knowledge for the development of the skill of comprehending the elements that determine the genre of the work, analyzing these elements, having knowledge about different analysis methods and adapting these methods according to the research subject in creations based on the Turkish music tradition

Course Content

The content of the course consists of discussing the structure, form, function, content and contextual features in music, evaluating the types of musical sentences, as well as auditory modifiers that create sections or divisions, discussing the structural methods used in the field of international classical music and explaining the features that determine the genres
