Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to make students comprehend the basic concepts of text linguistics, the criteria for being a text, small-scale structure, large-scale structure and superstructure solutions, text types, approaches to text and perspectives, introducing major theories about text analysis, and the method of interpretation and semiotic text analysis. and analyzing literary texts in the light of this information.

Course Content

Textlinguistics, the history of textlinguistics, reception aesthetics, the concept of text, the basic elements that make up the text, the small structure and the description of the text (coherence), the analysis of the large structure and the text (cohesion), the examination of the narrative texts, the interpretation of the superstructure and texts, the intertextuality, the style, the text types. Subjects such as, approaches to text and perspectives form the general area of ??study of the course.

4.To be able to understand the basic skills of analyzing literary texts by knowing the basic features of these texts.
