The aim of this course is to reveal the literature and its functions within the framework of the concepts of child and childhood and to be able to use the works in the field of children's literature effectively in Turkish education.
Concepts of child and childhood, relationship between child and literature, basic concepts, definition, scope and general characteristics of children's literature. Children's literature as a tool for mother tongue education, and utilizing literary products in teaching Turkish. Children's literature types and functions. Novel, story, children's poems, fairy tales, epics, legends, fables, riddles and other types of children's literature. Children's newspapers and magazines.
