Objectives of the Course

Explain the basic fundamentals of remote sensing, getting information about shapes, locations of objects on the earth by using remote sensing data, how to get information from satellite image and how to interpret them

Course Content

To teach objectives of making soil maps, process and methodology of soil survey and mapping, principle of remote sensing; satellite images and their properties, interpretation by eye in remote sensing and data production, importance of digital image processing in remote sensing, interpretation of satellite image and evaluation in different fields subjects

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to describe the fundamentals of Remote sensing, digital data sources and areas of use.
2.To be able to compute the remote sensing software
3.To be able to define the remote sensing platforms and methods of obtaining data.
4.To be able to compute and interpret the remote sensing techniques used for monitoring natural resources such as soil, water and forest.
5.To be able to compare the different applications for agricultural purposes of Remote Sensing
